New Hitachi Data Systems Forums Are Live

Well HDS has opened it's first website aimed at end users and people that just want to learn more about their products. The website is http://forums.hds.com. So far there are a ton of FAQ questions with answers. There are product experts frequenting the site answering questions and giving great technical answers instead of the marketing answers you get at some other company websites. HDS is working towards a community that is open to their users and the forums site just the beginning, as I understand it. If there is something that you think they need to do, let them know. They are definitely listening. As an HDS customer I appreciate the effort and can't wait to see what they are going to add to the site in the future. Keep up the good work Jeremiah.

Thanks Snig for this, very cool. Yes, we’re listening, believe me we are.

In the spirit of community, I should add there are many other storage forums that are focused on other storage vendors–swing by the wiki to see a list of them:

And the thanks doesn’t go to me, it’s taken many, many good folks who give a dang to make this happen :)

Ive been over and think this looks good. Ive already had one question answered which Im pleased about. Obviously something like this needs people to log on and start helping out, asking their own questions and offering advice…
Definitely a step in the right direction.
